Today, Métal Pole-Lite operates a 45,000 square foot manufacturing plant with a team of 70 employees, some of whom have been with Pole-Lite for more than 30 years, highlighting the company’s integrity and dynamic culture. These advantages enable Métal Pole-Lite to continue its growth and impose itself as a leader in the Canadian lighting market.

Our History

Société Pole-Lite Limitée quickly became a leader in the lighting post market in Quebec in the 1970’s after a modest beginning in the late 1950’s. In 1975, the company acquired the Lord and Sons Company and became a reference in the road lighting market after adding steel to it’s aluminum product line.

In the early 90’s, Métal Pole-Lite Inc. and Union Metal Corp., the oldest North American lighting pole company still in operation, are bought by the European group Petit Jean. This added a European touch to the decorative evolution of the product style.

In March 2018, Métal Pole-Lite Inc. was acquired by Nova Pole International Inc. Today, as in the beginning, Métal Pole-Lite Inc. continues to distinguish itself with its innovation, expertise and durability.

Our Warranty

Métal Pole-Lite Inc. offers a one year guarantee on the visual aspect of the painted finish of the lighting poles and their components: adherence, corrosion, coloration and uniformity. Each project is inspected according to the CSA G-164 norms and submitted to the BNQ-991-105 sampling grid.
